WD-40 Multi-Use Product is not a contact cleaner and will leave a protective lubricating layer on the application surface. In some cases, this is desired and WD-40 Company would recommend treating metal contacts with WD-40 Multi-Use Product after they have been cleaned and ready for storage. WD-40 Multi-Use Product can also be used to displace any moisture on electrical contacts and PCB’s.
