How to Protect Plastic Garden Furniture
Plastic garden furniture is a staple piece for your garden when it comes to having outdoor gatherings and BBQs. Things you will need
A bucket of soapy water
Sponge
2 clean cloths
Hand towel
Step 1
Scrub
Firstly, fill up a bucket of warm soapy water and grab a sponge. Soak the sponge in the water and scrub down your plastic garden furniture.
It’s important to remove any grime, cobwebs or general muck at the beginning, to ensure you’re not applying products to dirty surfaces.
Step 2
Towel dry
Afterwards, take a clean hand towel and use it to dry off your plastic furniture. Alternatively, you could simply allow to air dry – whichever method you prefer. Make sure your furniture is completely dry before continuing to the next step.
Step 3
WD-40 to the rescue
Take your WD-40 Specialist Lawn & Garden Water Protective Silicone, and spray onto a clean dry cloth. Massage in the product onto your plastic garden furniture. This product is excellent for using on plastic, because it will not leave a stain. Step 4
Wipe away excess
Once satisfied that you’ve applied the desired amount of product and covered the surface of your furniture, allow 5-10 minutes for the formula to work its magic. Then, take another clean cloth to wipe away any excess product. Be sure that all remaining product has been removed before use!
