Things you will need
Nail polish remover
Paper towels
Cloth
Step 1
Lets get started!
Firstly, take your shoe, nail polish remover and kitchen towels. Carefully, pour a small amount of nail polish remover onto the gum. Be mindful to only put this product on the sole of the shoe – on the affected area. Avoid using on any fabric material, just to prevent possible damage.
If you’re doing this step indoors, it’s recommended to open a window, simply to ensure the room is well ventilated to avoid inhaling the solvents. It’s also important to check with your shoe manufacturer first beforehand, as not all shoes are the same.
Allow 5 minutes for the nail polish to dissolve before wiping away with a kitchen towel.
Step 2
WD-40 to the rescue
Now, take your trusty can of WD-40 Multi-Use Product. After wiping off the excess WD-40 products, take another clean rag, soak it in water, and give the sole of your shoe a good scrub. Once you’ve done this, allow it to air dry, and then you should be good to go.
