How To Remove Sticker Residue From A Car

Appropriate Car Shampoo
Step 1
Prepare the area
Firstly, you may want to start by trying to peel off some of the residue yourself. Use your finger tips to gently attempt to peel off the residue.
Then take your chosen car shampoo and apply a small amount to a clean sponge. Use this to lightly rub on the area where the sticker residue is.
Fact: Using car shampoo, as opposed to washing up liquid is better for your car. This is because it won’t cause rusting, like washing up liquid would do.
Step 2
Blast with hairdryer
Secondly, grab your hairdryer. If your car isn’t parked in the garage, and you haven’t got access to a plug socket, you will need an extension cable.
Next, simply heat the area where the sticker residue is, with your hairdryer. Hold 2-3 inches away from your car, and do this for roughly one minute. Keep the heat setting constant, because there’s no need to change it throughout.
Step 3
WD-40 to the rescue!
Afterwards, it’s time to apply the WD-40 Product. With your WD-40 EZ Reach, apply the formula directly onto the sticker residue. The flexible straw will help you to apply the product directly and accurately onto the affected area.
Let this sit for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Wipe off with cloth
Now that you’ve allowed the formula to sit, take a clean microfibre cloth to wipe away the remaining product.
Once that’s finished, you’re done!
