How to remove gum from carpet and shoes with WD-40

There’s nothing more annoying than finding chewing gum on your carpet or shoes. Trainers, with their ridged treads, are especially painful to remove gum from.

You can try freezing the gum with an ice cube or wiping peanut butter over it, but a much simpler method is to spray it with a bit of WD-40. That’s right, the same stuff you use to fix a squeaky hinge is a fantastic everyday cleaning product too! so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it gets rid of chewing gum as well.

Simply spray the gum with some WD-40 Multi-Use Product, wait a few minutes to let it work its magic, and wipe away. Use the smart straw to really zero in on the small area and penetrate the gum from underneath.

You can also remove chewing gum from carpet using WD-40. You may need to use your fingers to separate the strands, but it will remove chewing gum from carpet more easily than other methods. Also try some No Vac Carpet Spot & Stain Remover and the Sanitiser and Deodoriser to remove residue and keep your carpet smelling fresh. Why not buy them together today?
